Red eyes

Red eyes can be alarming and may disrupt your day-to-day life. Common causes of red eyes include:

  • Allergies: Seasonal or environmental irritants.
  • Infections: Such as conjunctivitis (“pink eye”) or from improper contact lens use.
  • Eye injuries: From physical trauma or foreign objects.

In some cases, red eyes can be a sign of a more serious underlying condition.  If you experience symptoms such as pain, light sensitivity, or nausea alongside red eyes, contact us right away.

Why seek professional care?

Your eye doctor has the expertise to evaluate, diagnose, and properly treat the underlying cause of red eye, leading to a quicker recovery and preventing potential complications.
